MISSION STATEMENT

THE MISSION OF THE PUTNAM COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS AND REGISTRATION IS TO CONDUCT ELECTIONS IN PUTNAM COUNTY IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL AND STATE LAWS SO THAT:

EACH AND EVERY CITIZEN HAS HAD A FAIR, IMPARTIAL, AND EFFICIENT OPPORTUNITY TO REGISTER AND EXERCISE THE RIGHT TO VOTE AND;

EACH CANDIDATE FOR OFFICE HAS HAD A FAIR, IMPARTIAL, AND EFFICIENT OPPORTUNITY TO QUALIFY FOR AND TO SEEK OFFICE.

Voter Registrations are CLOSED until after certification of the June election, unless a runoff is required. Anyone that wants to register to vote, change their voter registration address, or change the name on their voter registration can come by the office and obtain a voter registration card or fill out an online voter registration application.
