Important Notices

The next Election will be a Special Primary Election on June 17, 2024 for the Public Service Commissioner for District 2 per HB 1312.

The Special Election for Public Service Commissioner District 2 will be held on November 4, 2025 per HB 1312.

BER News

The Board of Elections would like to take a moment to thank Emory Walden for his 15+ years of service and dedication to elections as a Board Member and Vice Chairperson! Emory will be dearly missed on the Board and we thank him for the time that he spent with us! Enjoy retirement, Emory!!

Replacing Emory, will be our newest Board Member, Sarah Maslayak. Sarah was sworn in last Friday, April 4th to her 1st term with our Board. Her term will run from April 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027. Also sworn-in on Friday, April 4th were current Board Members, Dick Forrester and Annie Parker. They were sworn into their next terms, July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2029. We are grateful to all of our Board Members for their dedication and service to help facilitate fair and accurate elections!

We would also like to congratulate and welcome Lorraine Webb, current Board Member, to be our new Vice Chairperson!

The mission of the Putnam County Board of Elections and Registration is to conduct elections in Putnam County in accordance with federal and state laws so that each and every citizen has had a fair, impartial, and efficient opportunity to register and exercise the right to vote; and each candidate for office has had a fair, impartial, and efficient opportunity to qualify for and to seek office.

Voter Registrations are open. Anyone that wants to register to vote, change their voter registration address, or change the name on their voter registration can come by the office and obtain a voter registration card or fill out an online voter registration application.
