Congratulations!! In addition to your County Office duties, you will also need to keep up with your Ethics filings with the State Ethics Commission. You can contact them through their website here, if needed. The Election Supervisor is your local filing officer. You can find below a list of ALL ethics documents that you can print and fill out. You can send your completed filings via email to krudolph@ber.putnam-ga.gov or bring them by the office and we will file them with the State Ethics Commission on your behalf. Also below is a filing schedule for all of the different forms associated with opening, running and closing a campaign. If you have any questions, please call the office.

While it is not the responsibility of the local filing officer to notify or impose late fees on ethic filings, it is their responsibility to notify of State Ethics Commission who the late filers are. Please make sure you are following the ethics filing schedule for your campaign.

No, if you filed this AFTER your election date and the campaign has not had more that $2500 in campaign contributions or expenditures.

If you filed this at the time of your DOI, prior to the election date, and have not filed one since the election date, AND the campaign has not had more than $2500 in contributions and expenditures, you can file one now but you are responsible to file any CCDR’s that were missed on the CCDR filing schedule for any non election years.

If you exceed $2500 in contributions or expenditures, you must file CCDR’s on the CCDR schedule.

You can, if you do not intend to accept contributions or make expenditures of more than $2500 in an election cycle.

Upon filing the affidavit, candidates will not be required to file a CCDR during the election cycle, unless the campaign exceeds $2500, in which case a CCDR will need to be filed according to the CCDR filing schedule.
Affidavits that were filed with the DOI, prior to the election day expire on election day and can be refiled the following day for that election cycle.

Yes, if you have filed an Affidavit to not Exceed $2500, but the campaign has now collected contributions or has expenditures in excess of $2500.

Yes, if you have previously filed CCDR’s for your campaign.
CCDR’s are due on non election years on June 30th and December 31st.

Must file all 10 pages.

No, if you have filed an Affidavit to not Exceed $2500 in contributions and expenditures for your campaign, and have not exceeded $2500.

Yes, if your campaign has contributions or expenditures between $2500-$5000 file on the schedule below.

Any campaign with contributions or expenditures in excess of $5000 will file following the schedule below.
Must file all 10 pages.

$2500-$5000 require a CCDR filed on:
-June 30th
-October 30th.(keep in mind Two Business Day Report after this date)

More than $5000 require a CCDR filed on:
-January 31st
-March 31st
-June 30th
-September 30th
-October 25th (keep in mind Two Business Day Report after this date.)
-November 29th(if in a Run-off)
-December 31st

Yes, if the campaign has any contributions (including loans) of $1,000 or more between the date of the last CCDR filed prior to the election day and election day.

If an Affidavit is on file, this report is not required, UNLESS this puts the campaign over the $2500 threshold.
Must be reported within two-business days of receipt of the contribution.

**Remember that the contribution must ALSO be reported on the next regularly scheduled CCDR.**
