- Public Comments
- Dr. Steve Hersey-Dr. Hersey requested clarification on the signed Resolution by the BOC for the SPLOST #10. Exhibit A was signed with an error. Dr. Hersey did not know what was submitted for current publishing to correct the error and who gave the submission.

- Ms.Parker moved to approve the agenda.
- Ms. Webb seconded the motion.

- Approval of Minutes July 2, 2024
- Mr. Forrester moved to approve the minutes as presented.
- Ms. Webb seconded the motion.

- Ms.Parker moved to approve the agenda.

- Discussion Items
- November General Election
- Mrs. Rudolph updated the Board on called Elections to be on the ballot
- District 1 to fill vacancy-called 7/11 & 7/18
- HB 1413-Homestead Exemption-called 8/1
- EPSLOST-called 8/1
- SPLOST-called 8/1
- Qualifying for Dist. 1 vacancy-Aug 19-21, 2 candidates had come in.
- Mrs. Rudolph updated the Board on called Elections to be on the ballot
- November Special Election Primary
- Mrs. Rudolph updated the Board called-7/25 & 8/1
- Qualifying for Dist. 1 Primary-Sept 9-11
- In person training-Aug 26-28
- Mrs. Rudolph updated the Board that 2 employees would go daily for training in Forsyth GA.
- Voter outreach update
- Mrs. Rudolph updated the Board that she had reached out to the local school systems to see about educating the high school students.
- Election Prep update
- Mrs. Rudolph updated the Board on the prep ideas for the November election.
- New Equipment update
- Mrs. Rudolph updated the Board on the new UPS’ that the county received from the SOS and that the State would now be reporting ENR to Enhanced Voting.
- Poll Worker training-Sept 18, 19, 23, 25 & 26
- Mrs. Rudolph updated the Board that poll worker training had been set.
- Handicap ramp update
- Mrs. Rudolph informed the Board that we had received estimates for the new handicap ramp outside of the BER.
- Budget Request for 2025-Proposed Budget-
- Mrs. Rudolph updated the Board on the new Proposed 2025 budget
- Budget 2024 Review
- Mrs. Rudolph updated the Board on the current 2024 Budget
- Use of BER Office Space
- Mrs. Rudolph brought to the attention of the Board with the assistance of Chairman Patten that BER Policy 08-01 requests that the Board approve the use of the BER space for qualification times.
- Mr. Forrester moved to make a motion that either party can use the BER space for qualifying Sept 9-11, 2024, for the Special Primary.
- Ms. Webb seconded the motion.
- Ms. Parker made a note that this should be done every time for qualification.
- Vote: all in favor.
- Mrs. Rudolph brought to the attention of the Board with the assistance of Chairman Patten that BER Policy 08-01 requests that the Board approve the use of the BER space for qualification times.
- November General Election
- Business and Information from Board Members and Staff
- Mr. Forrester: none
- Mr. Walden: none
- Ms. Parker: question about last month’s meeting
- Ms. Webb: will not be here for the Sept meeting but can be on a call.
- Mr. Patten: thanked Mrs. Rudolph for keeping the Board informed.
- Mrs. Rudolph: Thanked the Board for the consideration of her when dealing with the 2025 Budget.
- Adjourn: 5:28 P.M.
- Mr. Walden moved to adjourn the meeting.
